What Vaccines Does My Cat Need Before Boarding?
Cats boarding at Chez Mieux must have current FVRCP and Rabies documentation. Contact the facility before your reservation if you have questions about your cat’s records.
Bring Your Cat's Regular Food
Whenever possible, bring enough of your cat's normal food for their entire stay. Familiar meals can help while your cat adjusts to boarding.
Bring All Required Medications
If your cat takes medication, bring enough for the entire boarding stay. Whenever practical, medications should be clearly labeled and supplied in their original packaging. Include instructions describing the medication, dosage, frequency, timing and administration method.

Maintaining familiar routines is part of individualized boarding care. Caregivers follow the feeding instructions you provide, including your cat’s food, portions and schedule.
Can My Cat Take Medication While Boarding?
Needing regular medication does not automatically prevent a cat from boarding at Chez Mieux. Many common medication routines can be arranged in advance; discuss your cat's needs and any additional fees before booking.
Keep Their Diet Familiar
Avoid unnecessary food changes immediately before boarding whenever possible. If your cat is already comfortable with their normal diet, there is generally no reason to introduce something new immediately before a change of environment.
Make the Cat Carrier Familiar
For some cats, seeing the carrier means a trip to the veterinarian. Leave it out before travel so your cat can explore it at their own pace.
Tell Us What “Normal” Looks Like
Information about your cat's usual behavior gives caregivers a useful baseline. For example, if your cat normally hides whenever they're somewhere unfamiliar, tell us. If they're usually extremely social but sometimes become withdrawn when stressed, that's also helpful.
Keep Drop-Off Calm
You don't need to create an elaborate goodbye ritual. A calm arrival lets our caregivers begin helping your cat transition into their accommodations and new surroundings.
