Cat Boarding Accommodations in Natick, MA
Comfortable Spaces, Individual Attention & Care Designed Around Cats
Where your cat stays matters.
At Chez Mieux Cat Kennel, our boarding accommodations are designed specifically for feline guests, with private spaces, comfortable bedding, climbing opportunities, daily enrichment, and attentive care from people who understand cats.
Located in Natick, Massachusetts, Chez Mieux provides a peaceful, cat-only boarding environment for families throughout MetroWest and the Greater Boston area.
Rather than placing every guest into the same routine, we take time to understand each cat's personality, preferences, feeding schedule, activity level, and comfort needs.
Some cats arrive ready to explore and make friends with their caregivers. Others prefer quiet observation and a little more time to settle in.
Our goal is to provide each guest with a comfortable home away from home while keeping their daily experience as familiar and stress-conscious as possible.
Private Multi-Level Cat Boarding Condos
Every guest at Chez Mieux has a comfortable private space where they can rest, eat, watch their surroundings, and settle into their own routine.
Our multi-level boarding condos give cats room to move between separate areas rather than spending their stay in a single small enclosure.
Accommodations include features such as:
- • Multiple levels for climbing and exploring
- • Separate areas for food, litter, and sleeping
- • Comfortable bedding
- • Clean, private spaces
- • Room to stretch, perch, and relax
- • Window views for bird watching when available
- • Daily housekeeping and fresh litter
This setup gives cats options.
A guest who wants privacy can curl up somewhere cozy. A curious cat can move between levels and watch what is happening around them. More active guests have opportunities to climb and explore.
The current facility is purposefully designed around cats, rather than adapting accommodations originally intended for dogs or general pet boarding.

A Cat-Only Boarding Environment
No Barking Dogs. No Shared Dog-and-Cat Kennel Areas.
Cats often respond strongly to unfamiliar sounds, smells, and activity.
That's one of the reasons Chez Mieux is dedicated exclusively to cat boarding.
Our guests aren't surrounded by barking dogs or the constant activity of a mixed-species kennel. Instead, they stay in an environment created specifically with feline comfort in mind.
For many cats, that can mean fewer unfamiliar distractions and an atmosphere that feels calmer and more predictable.
Our caregivers are also focused entirely on cats. That means recognizing feline body language, understanding when a guest is inviting interaction, and knowing when a cat would rather have some quiet time.
The result is a boarding experience built around what cats actually need rather than expecting cats to adapt to a generalized kennel environment.

Accommodations for Multiple Cats
If you have more than one cat, we can help determine the best boarding arrangement based on their relationship and individual needs.
Cats from the same household may be able to share a condo when appropriate, while cats that are happier with their own space can stay in separate accommodations.
Chez Mieux currently offers boarding options for:
- • One cat in one private condo
- • Two cats sharing one condo
- • Two cats in two individual condos
- • Three cats in three individual condos
- • Adjoining condos when available
This flexibility is especially useful for multi-cat households.
Some cats sleep together, groom each other, and feel most comfortable sharing familiar company. Others coexist perfectly well at home but may do better with their own space when adjusting to a new environment.
We can discuss your cats' personalities and usual relationship before their stay to help determine the best arrangement.

Daily Enrichment & Individual Playtime
More Than a Comfortable Place to Sleep
A good boarding experience should provide opportunities for cats to stay mentally and physically engaged.
Chez Mieux includes daily enrichment and individual attention as part of every guest's stay.
Depending on your cat's personality and comfort level, enrichment may include:
- • Interactive toys
- • Wand-toy play
- • Climbing opportunities
- • Exercise time outside condo
- • One-on-one interaction
- • Brushing
- • Treats
- • Window watching
- • Quiet companionship
Our caregivers get to know each cat instead of expecting every guest to enjoy the same activities.
An energetic younger cat may want to chase toys and climb. A senior cat might prefer gentle attention and a comfortable place to lounge. A shy guest may simply enjoy having someone nearby while they gradually become more comfortable.
Chez Mieux's existing guest program includes one-on-one playtime, exercise outside the condos, enrichment toys, climbing structures, brushing, treats, and attentive care.
Personalized Care Based on Your Cat's Personality
Every cat arrives with their own habits.
Some are social. Some are cautious.
Some will immediately ask for attention. Others want to inspect their surroundings before deciding whether a new caregiver is worthy of a head bump.
That individuality is a major part of how we approach boarding.
Before and during your cat's stay, our caregivers pay attention to:
- • Personality & temperament
- • Normal activity level
- • Preferred interaction
- • Feeding routine
- • Health considerations
- • Medication needs
- • Mobility
- • Behavioral tendencies
- • Comfort around new people
- • Appetite changes
We adjust interactions and enrichment accordingly.
Our current care model also allows caregivers to adapt condo setups and playtime for senior and special-needs cats, helping guests maintain independence and participate at a level appropriate for them.

Familiar Feeding Routines
Changes in diet can be difficult for cats, especially when they are already adjusting to a temporary change in environment.
For that reason, we strongly recommend bringing your cat's normal food along with clear feeding instructions.
Our caregivers can follow your cat's established feeding routine so mealtimes remain as familiar as possible.
When preparing for your stay, let us know:
- • What food your cat normally eats
- • How much they receive
- • How frequently they eat
- • Whether food needs to be refrigerated
- • Any food allergies or sensitivities
- • Whether your cat has particular eating habits
- • Any feeding-related medical instructions
Chez Mieux can provide canned and dry food as a backup when necessary, but keeping your cat on their familiar food is generally preferable when possible.

Medication Administration During Boarding
Some cats need more than meals and playtime while their families are away.
Chez Mieux can accommodate a variety of medication and care needs, allowing many cats with ongoing routines to remain on schedule during their stay.
Current medication services include administration of:
- • Oral medications
- • Topical ointments
- • Inhalers
- • Nebulizers
- • Subcutaneous injections
- • Subcutaneous fluids
- • Certain wound-care needs
Medication services may carry an additional charge depending on the type of administration required.
If your cat requires medication or additional care, please discuss the details with us before booking. Clear instructions and properly labeled medications help us prepare for your cat's stay and maintain their normal care schedule.
Comforts From Home
Sometimes a familiar scent can make a new environment feel a little less unfamiliar.
We encourage families to bring one small comfort item from home for their cat. Good options may include a favorite blanket, a pillowcase, a familiar toy, a T-shirt, or a sweatshirt/hoodie.
Whenever possible, leave the item unwashed so it still carries familiar scents from home. The item can be placed in your cat's sleeping area to provide an additional source of familiarity while they settle in.
You don't need to pack your entire house for your cat. Chez Mieux provides bedding, fresh litter, comfortable accommodations, enrichment toys, and the everyday essentials needed during their stay.
Cleanliness & Daily Housekeeping
A comfortable cat boarding environment also needs to be clean and well maintained.
Chez Mieux provides fresh litter and daily housekeeping for boarding guests.
Keeping accommodations clean is important not only for comfort but also for maintaining a healthy environment for every guest.
Cats are observant animals, and many are particular about the cleanliness of their living spaces. Our caregivers maintain each guest's condo throughout their stay while also keeping an eye on eating, litter-box habits, behavior, and overall well-being.
Caring for Senior & Special-Needs Cats
Older cats and cats with unique physical or behavioral needs often benefit from boarding arrangements that can be adjusted around them.
Chez Mieux welcomes cats with a wide range of personalities and care needs. Our caregivers can modify playtime, interactions, and accommodations based on a guest's abilities.
Senior cats who prefer a quieter pace aren't expected to participate like younger, highly active guests. Likewise, shy cats are given time to become comfortable rather than being forced into interaction.
If your cat has a medical condition, mobility limitation, behavioral concern, or other special consideration, we ask that you provide as much information as possible when booking.
The more we understand beforehand, the better prepared we can be to provide a comfortable experience.
